Projecting 3D Silhouette Edges

You can create the silhouette edges to be used in the sketches as a geometry or the reference elements.


Before you begin: Create a sphere with a hole and a plane inclined to the xy plane at 10deg.

  1. Select Shaft.x and Pocket.x in the specification tree to create the silhouette edges onto the plane.



  2. Click Project 3D Silhouette Edges in the Operation toolbar (3D Geometry sub-toolbar).

    The silhouette edges are created onto the sketch plane. These silhouette edges are yellow if they are associative with the 3D.



    Warning:
    • You cannot move or modify the silhouette edges.
    • You cannot delete one trace of the silhouette edges independently from the other.
