Exporting Abaqus Files

You can export a DesignSight simulation as an Abaqus input file. The input file summarizes your DesignSight simulation in terms of its pure finite element representation using the Abaqus keyword format. The input file can be interpreted and modified by other Abaqus interfaces and analysts familiar with these interfaces.

An Abaqus input file exported from DesignSight can be

  • analyzed using Abaqus/Standard 6.10 or later, or
  • imported as a model database into Abaqus/CAE 6.10 or later.

Abaqus input files cannot be imported into DesignSight.
