About Connectors and Connection
  1. Select the nested connector and then click Connection from the Balloon contextual toolbar or from the Authoring toolbar.

A connection line appears and follows the cursor.

  2. Select the component with which you want to create a connection.

The Create Modelica Connection dialog box is displayed.

The dialog box has one window for each connector. The window containing the nested connector lists the connector and all its sub-connectors.

The connect statement at the bottom of the dialog box shows which connectors will be used to form the connection.

  3. To create a connection from a node in the nested connector tree, select the node in the window.

The node you select and the connector at the other end of the connection are displayed in the connect statement.

In this example a connection has been made between the sub-connector pin of nested connector cable and connector p of resistor.

  4. When finished, click OK.

    • The connection is created.
    • The Create Modelica Connection dialog box closes.
