About Behavior Libraries

A behavior library is a library reference containing behaviors that can be reused in different models. It is not possible to reuse a behavior if it has not been created within a library.

A behavior stored in a library can be reused:

  • in another behavior library
  • in a logical representation

Note that a behavior library is a representation reference, i.e. an autonomous reference within the PLM database. A behavior library cannot be aggregated to a logical component.

You can create your own library, or use a library installed by your administrator.

Modelica Standard Library (MSL) 3.2

The Modelica Standard Library is an extensive base library, developed with the Modelica language from the Modelica Association. It provides constants, types, connectors, partial models and model components in various disciplines.

The Modelica Standard Library 3.2 is provided with the Dynamic Behavior Modeling workbench. Note that it must be installed with the product by your administrator.

Modelica Libraries

Specific libraries can be used in the Dynamic Behavior Modeling workbench, provided that the library is installed into the PLM database, and that you have the convenient license.
