Managing Thumbnail for Chapters

This task shows you how to modify and manage thumbnail.

  1. Select a chapter.

  2. Click Manage Thumbnails or right-click the chapter and select Chapter > Manage Thumbnails.

    The Manage Thumbnail dialog box appears.

  3. Click Add/Replace Thumbnail to edit the thumbnail of the selected chapter.

  4. The Select Image File dialog box appears. Select the image or enter the name of the image in the File name box.



  5. Click Open. The selected image appears as a thumbnail.

    The previous image is replaced by the selected image.

    Note:

    • Only supports the following image formats (.JPEG and .PNG)
    • It is not possible to add multiple images

  6. The Add/Remove Image Background becomes active.

    By default, the Add/Remove Image Background is inactive.

  7. Select Reset To Default , to display the default image of the catalog. The previous image will be lost.

  8. Click Catalog Browser . The Immersive Browser appears.

  9. Choose a catalog from the search results and click OK.

    The chosen Catalog is displayed in the immersive Catalog Browser.

  10. Click to display the catalog in the thumbnail format.



  11. You can also view the thumbnail image of the catalog in PLM Search Results, Catalog Browser, PLM Chooser and Manage Keywords.







    Note: There is no visual identification to identify a thumbnail of a chapter in Catalog Browser tree view.
