Opening a Catalog in the Immersive Browser

In the Immersive Browser, click Open .

In the Choose a Catalog or Chapter dialog box, select a Catalog or Chapter from the list of those recently used, or click More... to search for others.

The Search for a Catalog or Chapter dialog box appears.

Enter a search string in the box and click Search or click Advanced Search to search with greater precision. (For Advanced Search details, see Advanced Search.)

The search results appear.

Note: If you have already browsed a catalog, the catalog is opened in the Catalog Browser.

Choose a Catalog from the search results and click OK.

The chosen Catalog is displayed in the immersive Catalog Browser. The first level of Chapters is also displayed. The number of items recursively contained in each catalog/chapter is displayed in parentheses. On the right side are details of folder content.

Select one of the Chapters or double-click a Chapter to expand it and then select one of its Chapters.

The content of the selected Chapter is displayed in the objects list.

Note: You can sort the items by clicking the column title, (e.g. click Item name). Note that the objects are not initially displayed in any specific order, i.e. ascending or descending. However, after the first click of the column header, the list is sorted in descending order. A second click displays the list in ascending order.

To activate recursive display in the objects list, click Recursive Mode Deactivated .

The mode will change to Recursive mode. All chapters recursively under the selected Chapter will be displayed in the objects list.

To activate direct display in the objects list, click Recursive Mode Activated .

The mode will change back to Direct mode. Only chapters directly in the selected Chapter will be displayed in the objects list.

The following table defines which objects are visible in the object list for a given selection in the tree:
