Analyzing Link and Relation Statuses in the East Quadrant Compass

You can use the East quadrant of the Compass to analyze link and relation statuses.

Before you begin: open an existing assembly.

About the East Quadrant Compass

  1. In the Compass, click East: Links and Knowledge .

    The first level of information in East: it indicates the Update and Link status of the displayed objects. Here is an example:

  2. Select an object.

    The Update status of the selected object is displayed.

  3. To deactivate the Compass, click East: Links and Knowledge again.

    Important:

    Quadrant is not functional for Navigation windows (VPM Navigator. When the user selects the quadrant, the legend appears and shows Information not available, all the visible objects are grayed and selecting an object shows a label with only the icon of the object type and the display name.
