Modifying Annotations

Annotations represent a means to communicate additional information about the design. Annotations are not intended to be used for manufacturing purposes.

You can modify annotations imported along with a board or panel using IDF 3.0.

Before you begin: You Importing Panels.

  1. Select an Annotation in the specification tree.



    The annotation is displayed on the appropriate constraint area.

  2. Double-click the annotation.



    It shows six parameters. Three of them can be modified:

    • The text position (X and Y)
    • The text.

  3. Double-click the Text parameter.

    The Edit Parameter dialog box opens.

  4. Change the text of the annotation, then click OK.

  5. Change the text position by modifying the X or Y coordinates.

    Modifications are taken into account when exporting data to an IDF file.
