The Task for Catia V6 Management User's Guide is intended for the user who needs to become familiar with how to manage tasks and their elements within their structures. This guide will illustrate how to work with tasks.

Task for Catia V6 Management in a Nutshell

Task for Catia V6 Manager is used to request, define and track a modification to a product as tasks. Tasks for Catia V6 contain all the information (comments, documentation, affected parts, configuration specifications, CAD/CAM models, electronic documents) necessary to implement and/or capture the requested modifications. All events that the tasks undergo (creation, promotion, transfer, completion, association of documents) are recorded and can be used to communicate or track the progress of a modification throughout each of the tasks lifecycle or for later historical analysis.

All users should be familiar with basic Infrastructure concepts such as document windows, standard and view toolbars as well as the 3D compass. Prior to reading this book, we therefore recommend that you read the Infrastructure User's Guide.
