Filtering Data in VPM Navigator

This task shows you how to filter the data in your session.

Filter Data with an Engineering Filter

Engineering Filter enables you to view the structure with activated instances only and filter out de-activated instances.

  1. In the VPM Navigator toolbar, click Filter .

    The Filter dialog box appears.

  2. Select Engineering and click New....

    The Activated instances only node appears. Note that:

    • To disable Engineering Filter, you must first remove or disable all applied Configuration Filters
    • Engineering Filter is always applied in VPM Editor.

Filter Data with a Configuration Filter

When filtering a configured product, you will have the option to create/change the configuration filter currently applied to it. The changes made here are for your current session only and will not be applied permanently to your structure upon exiting.
