Attaching Documents

This task shows you how to attach a document to the part. Documents, specifications manuals, etc may be linked directly to the part they correspond to. Attaching documents to your product structure allows you to save time when navigating data. When you attach a document to a part you are attaching a specific version of the document. This means that when you version the part before the document, the new part version will have the same document attached. If the document is specific to the version of the part, you will need to version the document, detach the old version and attach the new version. For more information about Customization, see CAA Encylopedia: References > Business Logic Openness Infrastructure Reference > How to Implement the Relationship Establishment Validation Business Logic?
