Constraints creation
Select the desired option:
- Use any geometry: allows you to select any
geometrical element.
- Use published geometry of child components
only: allows you to select any published element belonging to child
components. For more information about publication, refer to
Managing a Product Publication in the
Assembly Design documentation.
- Use published geometry of any level: allows
you to select any published element.
By default,
the
Use any geometry option is
selected.
Note:
If you are a DS Passport customer, you can read the Knowledge Base
for more information about publication selection in an engineering connection.
Constraint
The
Snap command is based on an ordered
list of constraints to be created by the application. The setting available
here lets you reorder the list of constraints having priority when applying the
Snap command to the selected
geometrical elements. Select the constraint type you
wish to reorder and click the arrows to the right of the selection to reorder
the selected constraint.
By default,
the ordered list is the following:
- Surface Contact
- Fix together relatively
- Fix together
- Coincidence
- Offset
- Angle
- Parallelism
- Perpendicularity
- Create verified constraints first
-
Defines whether you want to create verified constraints with the
Snap command.
By default,
this option is not selected.
File-based Design Import of Broken Constraints
Select the desired option:
- Imported but deactivated: imports broken constraints but deactivated.
- Imported as is: imports broken constraints.
- Never imported: never imports broken constraints.
By default,
the
Imported but deactivated option is
selected.
Interferences
- Show warning
-
Allows you to display or hide the interferences warning message during engineering connection creation.
By default,
this option is selected.
Engineering connection visualization
- Show visualization
- Allows you to display or not engineering connections in geometry area, when selected in specification tree or through a constrained component selection.
By default,
this option is not selected.
