Routing Flexible Based on Spline

You can route a flexible pipe based on the spline using the Port command.

Before you begin: Open a document containing the parts between which you want to route.

  1. Click Flexible Route in the Compass Toolbar.

    The 3D Part / Product DS dialog box appears.

  2. Enter details and click Finish.

    The balloon opens.

  3. Click Edit Properties in the balloon.

    The Flexible Route Definition dialog box appears.

  4. In the Build Algorithm box select Standard Algorithm.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click Port in the balloon.

  7. Select a routing option - Port was selected below for a route between two parts - and select the beginning and end ports.

  8. A flexible pipe will be placed between the two ports.
