Defining Equipment

When you create equipment you assign the equipment type to an existing part.

Before you begin: Open a document containing an equipment.

  1. Click Equipment in the Technological Behavior toolbar.

    The Equipment Extension dialog box appears.

  2. In the Part Subtype box, type the equipment type.

  3. Click OK.

    The object has been assigned the equipment type.

  4. Open the Properties dialog box to view or modify attributes.

    (click More > Physical Systems).

Important: If you have set the Physical Equipment Subtype file in the Equipment Resource of the Project Resource Management, then a list is generated at the Part Subtype box. You can select a subtype from the drop-down list and set it as an equipment type by clicking OK.
