Editing Parameters of Several Axial Machining or Profile Contouring Operations

You can modify the parameters of several Axial Machining or Profile Contouring operations in one shot.

Before you begin:
  • Parameters (including geometry and macro definitions) can be edited if all the selected operations already have identical values.
  • The parameters which are different in the selected operations are not editable; the displayed value is one of the first operation selected.
  • The parameters (Jump distance, No Point (hole selection), Closest, Top Element, Fixed Axis, and the arrow for inversion of the machining direction) coming from pattern in the Axial Machining operations cannot be edited.
  • For Sequential Axial and Sequential Groove operations, the different motions added by you in the Motions tab of the Machining Strategy tab, are not supported in multi-edit mode. The Motions tab page is disabled in case of multi-editing
  • The edition of tool parameters (Tool Name, Comment, Tool Number, and changing the Tool type) from Tool tab in the Axial Machining operations is not supported.
  • Replay icon is disabled.
  1. Select two or more operations, either in the Specification tree or in the Activities Process Tree. Right-click the highlighted operations and select Edit Operations.

The corresponding Axial Machining dialog box appears.

  2. Modify any of the parameters that are available for edition.

Only those parameters with the same value in all the selected axial operations are editable. Otherwise, they are disabled.

  3. Click OK to apply the modified parameters of all the selected operations.
