Reordering Sketch-Based Features

The way you configured your design environment affects the way the application locates sketches in the specification tree after reordering sketch-based features. You can reorder a sketched-based feature from one solid body to another or from one body to another.

From One Solid Body to Another One

When working in a non-hybrid design environment, sketches are represented both in the Part Body and under the target body after reordering features based upon them.

This 3D Shape contains two bodies created in a non-hybrid design environment.

After reordering Pad.1 to locate it in Body.2, Sketch.1 on which it is based, is represented both under PartBody and under Pad.1.



From One Body to Another One

This 3D shape consists of two bodies created in a hybrid design environment.

After reordering Pad.1 to locate it in Body.2 (using Inside), Sketch.1 is represented under Pad.1 only.
