Merging Manufacturing Programs

You can merge Manufacturing Programs to optimize Tool Changes. The order of machining steps on the same Part is kept.

Before you begin: This may be necessary after you have copied Manufacturing Programs.

Merge Program does not support Copy Operators, but supports machine instructions.

  1. Open a Machining Process containing several Manufacturing Programs.

    1. Click Utilities.
    2. Click Merge Program .

    The Merge Program dialog box is displayed.

  2. To optimize Tool Changes in those Manufacturing Programs

    1. Click to add Manufacturing Programs to your selections.
    2. Select a Manufacturing Program and click to remove it from your selection.



  3. Click Preview.

    The Tool Changes preview is displayed.

  4. Click OK.

    The first Manufacturing Program found is kept and concatenates all the components of the selected Manufacturing Programs. The Tool Changes are optimized.
