About Machining PLM Entities

Machining PLM entities are listed below.

Product
PLM entity in the product list defining the design product.
Part
PLM entity, located under a product in the product list, that defines a low-level product (that is, it cannot be broken down further). It is a specific case of a product.
Setup Assembly
PLM entity in the Machining Cell that contains an instance of the product and other data such as tooling, stock and fixture data.
Produce Function
PLM entity in the process list that implements the product. It contains functions (such as Machining Function) that together produce a given product.
Machining Function
PLM entity that is located under the Produce Function in the process list. It defines the machining step of the global Produce Function.
Machining Cell
Main PLM entity for Machining. It is located in the PPR Context and contains the machining resources (Setup Assembly, Machine and Tools) required to machine a product. Several Machining Cells may be required to machine a product.
Machining Cell Logical Rep
PLM entity that implements the Machining Function. It contains detailed programming information of the Machining Cell. It is attached to an instance of the machine in the Machining Cell.
Machine
PLM entity in the Machining Cell that defines an NC machine resource
Machine Logical Rep
PLM entity, attached to a machine, containing detailed definition of this machine (mainly attributes that are not exposed as PLM attributes).
Tool
PLM entity in the Machining Cell that defines a tool resource.
Tool assembly
PLM entity in the Machining Cell that defines a tool assembly resource.
Tool Logical Rep
PLM entity attached to a tool, containing detailed definition of this tool (mainly attributes that are not exposed as PLM attributes).
Component
PLM entity belonging to another PLM entity that is exposed and recognized in the PDM repository.
Relation
