Defining a System-Process Scope

You can define a scope between a System reference and a Process reference. This scope then lets you manage process assignments and analyze implement links.

Before you begin: Open your data: a product with an associated Assemble process structure.

About System-Process Scope

  1. Open Manufacturing System Definition workbench.

    You will see that a root system is created under the PPR context.

  2. Create two sub-systems in the Live System Editor.

    The sub-systems appear under the root system in the PPR tree.



  3. Activate the East quadrant.

    The Processes are in Non-assignable status, because there is no defined scope.

  4. Click Create System Process Scope and select the root system.

  5. Select the root Assemble process structure.

    The System-Process scope is created. The Processes are in Assignable status.
