Changing the Current Axis

When you select the Current Axis command and then select an object, the current axis is reset to the axis of that object. Changing the current axis modifies the reference point by which elements are routed and placed.

You can choose to snap the compass to a selected product when changing current axis using the Change Current Axis and Snap Compass.

The system keeps a history of previously selected current axes. You can choose Current Axis History and select a previously selected current axis from the history list.

Before you begin: Open your session data in the desired workbench.
  1. Select either Current Axis or Change Current Axis and Snap Compass (to product) .

  2. Select the product on which you wish the command to act.
