Overview

In industries such as Aerospace and Defense, Ship Building and Energy, the breakdown of a product into deliverable items is done before the detailed design of these items. This Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) provides the list of assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts, raw materials as well as the quantities necessary to make the end product.

The aim of MBOM Definition is to resolve such an EBOM and automatically create an MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials).

The MBOM Definition User's Guide is intended for users who need to become quickly familiar with the application.

MBOM Definition in a Nutshell

MBOM Definition provides the following key capabilities:

  • Resolved EBOM consumption
  • Automatic creation of MBOM from EBOM with collaborative Manufacturing and Engineering views
  • Management of quantities in MBOM
  • Definition of manufacturing responsibility
  • Intuitive, easy-to-use MBOM user interface
