Setting a Default Material Domain

Setting a material domain as default is useful when you have defined several domains of the same type.

Having a single material with several domains of the same type allows to define alternative representations of the same material for different uses without duplicating the material reference. For domains that support multiplicity, you can set a default domain to specify the primary domain.


Before you begin: A material with a domain that supports multiplicity must be defined.
  1. To set a domain as default, right-click a material domain in the specification tree, and select Set as Default.

    Important: Only domains that support multiplicity can be set as default.

    The selected domain is underlined.

  2. To remove the default status of a material domain, right-click the default domain in the specification tree, and select Unset as Default.
