To pan, drag using the middle mouse button vertically and horizontally.
Your view of the model changes.
To rotate, press and hold down the middle mouse button, then the left mouse button (still holding both buttons down), and drag.
To zoom, press and hold down the middle mouse button, then click the left mouse button, and drag up to zoom in or drag down to zoom out.
