Graphic Tab

The Graphic tab in the Properties dialog box lets you modify the graphic properties of an element. It appears when you right-click elements, (such as geometry or annotations) and then select Properties.

Depending on the context (Drafting or 2D Layout for 3D Design) or on the element you selected, a number of options may be unavailable or disabled.

This dialog box contains controls for:

Global Properties

Shown

Select this check box if you want the element to be displayed.

Pickable

Select this check box if you want the element to be pickable. If you clear this check box, geometry will not be selectable anymore.

Tip: When you create elements using the No Pick mode (with the Pickable option clear), you can make some of them pickable again, by performing as follows:
  1. Select Edit > Search from the menu bar and select the element(s) to be modified from the Search dialog box.

  2. Select Edit > Properties from the menu bar and select the Pickable check box from the Properties dialog box.

You can make all the elements on a sheet or in a view pickable again, by right-clicking the sheet or the view(s) and selecting Force Pick Mode from the contextual menu.

Low intensity

Select this check box if you want to display the selected element using a lower intensity. Refer to Infrastructure User's Guide: Displaying and Editing Graphic Properties.

Layers

Select a layer for the selected geometry.

Rendering style

Select the rendering style (Transparent, Wireframe, Shading or Shading with edges) you want to apply to the selected element, provided that this element supports rendering styles. Refer to Infrastructure User's Guide: Displaying and Editing Graphic Properties I.

Important: In some cases, changing the color of an element provides unexpected results, as the color of related elements will be changed as well. For example, if you change the color of a table frame, the font color of the table's text will also be changed. In this case, a workaround is to Font Tab after having edited the graphic properties.
