Resetting a Route

This section describes how to reset the route of a logical connection or other routable component.

Notes:

  • If you reset the route of an object which is part of a group (for example a net group or a cable), the route of all other objects in the group and the group itself will be reset.
  • If you reset the route of a group which is itself part of a higher level group, the route of all other objects in the group and the higher level group itself will be reset.

Before you begin: Create or open a logical description of your system with logical components, logical connections, shapes and pathways.
  1. In the 2D view, select the logical connection or routable component you want to reset.

In the 2D view, a balloon appears.

    In the 3D view:

    • The shapes at the ends of the logical connection or routable component are highlighted.
    • The pathway segments through which the connection or routable component is routed are highlighted.

  2. Click Reset Route Reset Logical Connection.

The route is deleted and in the 3D view:

    • The pathway segments are no longer highlighted.
    • A line representing the logical connection or routable component between the shapes appears.

  3. Click anywhere in the 3D view to finish.
