Generating a Report

You can generate a Report.

Before you begin:

Make sure you defined a report and opened or created a representation containing Pads with Holes.

Note: Reports can be generated for the selected objects by:

  • Selecting objects interactively. You can select all the objects in session but the report will be generated for the objects defined in the Report Definition Template xml.

  • Choosing All objects in the Session : It selects all objects defined in the Report Definition Template xml.

Applying a Style Sheet to a Report

  1. Open your representation.

  2. Click Report Generation in the Kwowledge toolbar.

    A Report Generation dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click Select and enter the name of the template you created, ReportTemplate in our example and click Search.

    The XML Document Chooser displays the result of the search.

  4. Double-click your report template in the XML Document Chooser.

    You are back in the Report Generation dialog box.

  5. Click All Objects In Session to generate your report for all the objects of your representation and click Generate Report.

    A Pad and Holes Report dialog box is displayed.

  6. Select HTML to display the report in HTML format or XML to view it in XML format and click Open Report.

    The report is displayed.

  7. Click Save as to save the report in the database.

    You can apply an .xsl style sheet to the xml file.
