Copying Instant Collaboration Resources

Instant Collaboration enables you to rapidly share data and ideas with all people concerned by a specific design problem across the extended enterprise. You can interactively review design, share images and see your partners as you work together.

Important: In the following tasks, the variable $installpath represents the path that you defined as the destination folder during the installation.

This task shows you how to:

IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing (Sametime) 8.0.2

The following describes the procedure for preparing Sametime 8.0.2 instant messaging.

  1. Create a new folder javacommon under:

    $installpath\intel_a\resources\docs\

  2. Copy the Sametime files CommRes.jar, STComm.jar and stjavatk.jar

    from: $InstallLotus\Lotus\Domino\Data\domino\html\sametime\st801sdk\client\stjava\bin\

    to: $installpath\intel_a\resources\docs\javacommon\

  3. For a SameTime 8.0.2 client/server configuration, it is possible to configure the server to access a user's business card information, including photos.

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and 2007 R2

The following describes the procedure for preparing Microsoft OCS 2007 instant messaging.

  1. Install the UccApiSdk.msi on your computer.

    In the following steps, you will copy the specified .dll files from the installed SDK to the indicated directory.

  2. For a 32-bit PC:


    • copy RTMPLTFM.dll and UccApi.dll
    • from: C:\Program Files\Microsoft UCCAPI\
    • to: $installpath\intel_a\code\bin\

  3. For a 64-bit PC:


    • create a new folder bin32 under:

      $installpath\win_b64\code\

    • copy RTMPLTFM.dll and UccApi.dll
    • from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft UCCAPI\
    • to: $installpath\win_b64\code\bin32\
