Adding Sections to a Closed Primitive

You can add sections to a circular closed primitive so that the result is close to a real circle.

This capability is available with the Sphere, Cylinder and Torus commands.


Before you begin: The visualization of the two number of sections icons can either be on the same icon cyclically or in an expandable separate toolbar. It depends on the option chosen in Tools > Options > Shape > Imagine & Shape > General tab, Command Options Menu Mode area. By default, the option is set to Cyclic Menu (as shown in our example).

  1. Click Number of Sections .

    The icon is modified to reflect the modification of the number of sections (8) .

    Tip: You can also access this command by pressing ALT+SHIFT+Z.

  2. Click Sphere .

    It is created with more sections:

    Cylinder with more sections

    Torus with more sections
