Creating a Datum Reference Frame

You can create a datum reference frame.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D part containing datums.

  1. Select Insert > Annotations > Datum Referencing > Reference Frame.

    The Datum Reference Frame dialog box appears.



  2. Select each datum and specify its box as shown below.

  3. Click OK in the dialog box.

    The datum reference frame is created in the specification tree.
