Importing an Annotation Set

You can import an annotation set from an existing 3D part into another 3D part.

The following types of import are available:

  • Import in a 3D part with or without an annotation set.
  • Import in a 3D part resulting from a symmetry with or without an annotation set.

Before you begin:
  • Open a target 3D part where you want to create the annotation set.
  • Open an reference 3D part containing the annotation set to be reused.
  1. Activate the representation of the 3D part where you want to create the annotation set.

  2. Select Tools > Import Annotation Set .

The Import Annotation Set dialog box appears.

    Note:

The Symmetry plane field allows you to select the symmetry plane for 3D part resulting from a symmetry.

Right-click this field an select Clear Selection in order to clear the selection.

  3. Select the annotation set in the 3D part containing the annotation set as reference.

The name of the selected annotation set is displayed in the Import Annotation Set dialog box.

  4. Click OK in the Import Annotation Set dialog box.

    Tip:
