Adding Leaders and Using Breakpoints

You can add leader to an annotation, then add a breakpoint on a created leader, and add a leader from a created breakpoint

Important:

  • You can add a leader to geometrical elements associated with the annotation or anywhere apart from geometry.

  • The selected geometry must have an intersection with the plane parallel with the annotation plane and containing the annotation.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape.
  1. Right-click the annotation text and select Add Leader from the contextual menu.

  2. Click the face as shown to begin the leader (arrow end).

    Then new leader appears.

  3. If needed, position the leader at the desired location by dragging it.

  4. To add a breakpoint, select the manipulator at the extremity of the arrow end and select the Add a Breakpoint from the contextual menu.

The breakpoint appears as yellow diamond.

  5. You can select it and drag the leader.

  6. To add a leader from the breakpoint, select the breakpoint and select Add an Extremity from the contextual menu.

    Important:

Add an Extremity is only available for text and flag note annotations.

  7. Click the face as shown to begin the leader (arrow end).
