Fastener Design in a NutshellFor each general fastening technology, specific fastening process codes along with their matching relevant parameters can be set up in a standard file. This file can be fully customized by the customer, according to company or industry specific standards requirements. Each fastener is modelized as an unitary PLM Object fastener and will be integrated in ENOVIA search, lifecycle and configuration capabilities. Fasteners have joined zone where the parts that are fastened are specified. You can create, edit and delete fasteners. In addition, flat reports can be generated from the application in order to list the data that can be imported to a neutral ASCII text format, providing opening with customer legacy systems. As a PLM product, Fastening can be used in cooperation with other products such as Assembly Design and Generative Shape Design and DELMIA Products for Manufacturing Planning. Before Reading this GuideBefore reading this guide, you should be familiar with basic Version 6 concepts such as document windows, standard and view toolbars. Therefore, we recommend that you read the Infrastructure User's Guide that describes generic capabilities common to all Version 6 products. It also describes the general layout of Version 6 and the interoperability between workbenches.
