The specification tree structure and content have been changed in Version 5 Release 16.

The picture on the left below shows the specification tree created in application versions prior to V5R16. The Specification Tree includes a Functional Body and a Functional Solid.

The picture on the right below shows a specification tree containing a Solid Functional Setand a Functional Set. Functional Body has been removed and replaced with Solid Functional Set under Body.1. And Functional Solid has been removed and directly associated to Solid Functional Set from V5R16 onwards.

Opening an Existing Part File Created Prior to V5R16

When you open the file created in an application version prior to V5R16, the old style specification tree with Functional Body and Functional Solid shows. Old Functional Bodies and new Solid Functional Sets can coexist in the specification tree in the same document.

There is no utility to convert the old specification tree to the new style tree.



Reordering Features within a Pre-V5R16 Specification Trees

You can use the Reorder capability to reorganize your design group features together, but also rectify design mistakes and eliminate some problems in pre-V5R16 Specification Trees.
