Using Smart Completion Command

The RFLP Smart Completion command allows you to automatically complete the model by loading all of the objects (requirements, functions, logical components and physical products) that make up the structure of the selected object.

More precisely, the command retrieves and selects:

  • All of the objects implementing or implemented by the selected object (contextual relation for a sub-node of the RFLP trees and reference-reference relation for a root of the RFLP trees).
  • Recursively, all of the objects:
    • implemented by the retrieved implemented objects
    • implementing the retrieved implementing objects

If no implement relation exists for the selected logical component, the RFLP Smart Completion command has no effect.

Note:

  • The Complete only trees displayed in the current navigation context option (in Tools > Options > RFLP Navigator > RFLP Navigator tab) has an impact on this command. When this option is selected, , the RFLP Smart Completion command only explores implementing/implemented elements part of the trees already present in the current RFLP Navigator window. A tooltip is displayed to inform you that some items have been filtered out by this mechanism.
  • Configuration filters applied to functional, logical and/or physical trees are respected when retrieving entities through navigation on implement relations.

  1. In the RFLPNav Toolbar, or in the PLM Access > Expand menu, select the RFLP Smart Completion .

The RFLP Smart Completion button is highlighted in the RFLPNav Toolbar.

  2. In the RFLP Navigator window, select a logical component inside the Logical tree structure.

In this example, the functions User B_To Fill the Basin and User B_To Soap are expanded because they are in implement relation with the selected logical component User C_Basin.

The loaded objects are selected at the end of the command.
