About User Sets

You can use user sets to organize objects in the specification tree. User sets are provided for your convenience; they have no effect on the calculation of the simulation or how its resuts are displayed. Hiding a user set hides the content of the user set.

In the Finite Element Modeling workbench, user sets are available under the following:

• Nodes and Elements
• Meshes
• Mesh Specifications
• Topology Specifications
• Groups
• Properties
• Virtual Parts

For example, you can group edge distributions into a user set under the mesh specifications, as shown in the following figure:

You can create a user set inside an existing user set. In addition, you can use copy and paste (or drag and drop) to move a user set into another user set.
