Customizing Measures

To suit your requirements, you can customize measures in different ways.

  1. Open the Customize tab to see what is set to be displayed in the information box:

The selectable items of information listed in the 3D and Tab columns can be very different depending on the selected object. The example shown above is that of an arc.

  2. Click More Results>> button to see what is set to appear in the More Results>> section:

  3. Customize the contents of both the information box and the Results section by selecting items to add them or deselecting items to remove them.

As you do this, the contents of the information box changes accordingly.

Important:
  • The default colors of the information box are white on a gray background.

To modify the color of the box, border or text and the font or size of the text, right-click the information box after clicking OK in the dialog box then open the Graphic tab of the Properties dialog box. This tab is described in detail in "Displaying and Editing Graphic Properties" in the "Manipulating Objects" section of the Infrastructure User Guide.

You can customize similar properties for all measures you create. For more information, see Measure Tools.

  • The default unit of measure used is the millimeter. However, you can change this. For more information, see "Units" in the "Customizing Settings>General>Parameters and Measure" section of the Infrastructure User Guide.
  • If, after a measurement operation but before saving the Review, you modify the geometry where you created a measure, the measure will not be updated accordingly. The result of any such change to the geometry will therefore be that the measure is no longer up-to-date. However, automatic updating is possible. For more information, see Measure Tools.

If the measure is associative, this is indicated by the appearance on the measure of the update symbol (for instance for Measure Item). In this particular case, you can update the measure before saving the Review. To do this, right-click the measure in the specification tree and, in the contextual menu that appears, select [measure_name] object>Measure Update.
