Exporting Meshes

You can export meshes contained in a finite element model representation into a Nastran bulk data file (.nas) and save this file to a desired location.

Before you begin: The finite element model representation must contain a mesh.

  1. Right-click a finite element model representation in the specification tree, and select Export Mesh.

    The Export Mesh dialog box appears.

  2. Select the directory in which you want to save the file that contains the exported meshes.

  3. In the File name box, enter the name of the file that contains the exported meshes.

  4. Click Save.

    The file that contains the exported meshes is saved at the desired location.

The following table gives the correspondence between V6 elements and Nastran elements:
