Creating an Electrical Physical System

You can create an electrical physical system and remove the electrical behavior from electrical physical system.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • Prepare one or more electrical geometries.
  • Insert a new product.

Creating an Electrical Physical System

An electrical physical system is associated with one or more electrical geometries. You cannot create an empty electrical physical system.

  1. Select Insert > Electrical Behavior > Electrical Physical System... .

  2. Select a product to create the electrical physical system.

The New Electrical Physical System dialog box opens:

  3. Change the electrical system name if needed.

  4. In the specification tree, select one or more electrical geometries that you want to connect to the electrical physical system.

  5. Click OK to validate.

The electrical physical system is created with a default conductor set which will contain any conductor specifications you create.

  6. Repeat these steps to create as many electrical physical systems as required.

New electrical physical systems are automatically created under the active product.

    Tips:
    • Edit the electrical physical system to add or remove electrical geometries.
    • Cross-highlight between the geometry area and the specification tree helps you locate items.

Removing an Electrical Physical System electrical behavior

You can remove the electrical behavior from electrical physical system.

  1. In the Electrical Assembly Design workbench, select a electrical physical system.

  2. Select Tools > Remove Electrical Behavior > Electrical Physical System .

A warning message informs you that this operation removes the electrical behavior.

  3. Click Yes to confirm.

The specification tree is updated .
