Creating a New Simulation

You can create a new simulation of a selected type.

  1. From the menu bar, select PLM Access > New....

    The New dialog box appears.

  2. Expand All Types, if it is not already expanded.

  3. Scroll down the list of types, and expand Simulation.

    A list appears showing the types of simulations you can create.

  4. Select the type of simulation to create, and click Next.

    Tip: Right-click on a simulation type, and select Add to favorites to add the simulation to the list of favorite types at the top of the New dialog box.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, enter the name of the new simulation and a brief description and click Finish.

    The simulation is created.

  6. You can save your simulation by selecting PLM Access > Propagate from the menu bar. You can choose to save your simulation and/or its categories. For more information, see Propagating Objects in the Infrastructure User's Guide.
