Adding Splice Position Points

Splice position points serve to attach splices to the ends of segments. You can add splice position points to segment ends using the Splice Position Point command.

Before you begin: Create an electrical branch geometryand fully define the first branch (i.e. associate geometry and define route).

  1. In the Electrical Part Design workbench, click Splice Position Point .

    Tip: Moving the pointer over the segment highlights the nearest end.

  2. Select the end of a segment.

    The splice position point is added automatically.

    The splice position point is added to the specification tree under the electrical branch geometry representation.



    The X-axis is oriented in the same direction as the segment curve; Y- and Z- axes are positioned in the segment plane.

  3. Click Update All.

    The specification tree is updated.
