This sub-topic provides information on Electrical Harness Flattening. The Electrical Harness Flattening User's Guide has been designed to show you how to generate the flattening view of a 3D electrical geometry, as well as create associated 2D drawings and apply dimensions, annotations and dress-up elements to these drawings.

Electrical Harness Flattening offers the following main functions:

• Flattens segments, electrical product and electrical geometries
• Straightens segments
• Rotates branches
• Rolls branches
• Scales branches
• Updates your flattened view at any time during the session thanks to a synchronize option
• Allows you to select the type of representation for your drawing

Filtering functionality for conductors are also available if you have an Electrical Conductor Routing license.

As a scalable product, Electrical Harness Flattening can be used in cooperation with other current or future companion products such as Electrical Library, Electrical 3D Installation and Electrical Conductor Routing.

Before reading this guide, you should be familiar with basic Version 6 concepts such as document windows, standard and view toolbars.

Therefore, we recommend that you read the Infrastructure User's Guide that describes generic capabilities common to all Version 6 products. It also describes the general layout of V6 and the interoperability between workbenches.
