Overview

Welcome to the Dassault Systemes License Server Essentials Guide. This guide presents licensing concepts and tools.

Licensing Essentials in a Nutshell

Licensing for both web applications (CBP) and rich client (CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA, SIMULIA, ...) applications is based on the use of Dassault Systemes License Server V6R2012. So, once you have purchased your licenses, you must enroll the licenses on the Dassault Systemes License Server V6R2012. The Dassault Systemes License Server V6R2012 software is delivered on a separate dedicated media.

The Dassault Systemes License Server is the principal licensing tool. But other licensing tools exist for a variety of purposes, some on the ENOVIA Live Collaboration Server side, some on the rich client side. The role of the Dassault Systemes Licensing Essentials Guide is to describe what these tools are and explain how to use them.

Before Reading this Guide

Before reading this guide, you should read the Dassault Systemes License Server Installation and Configuration Guide which describes everything you need to know about the Dassault Systemes License Server.
