Distributing Elements

You can distribute three or more selected elements along a line perpendicular to a selected plane using the Distribute command.

Before you begin: Open your session data in the desired workbench.

  1. Select at least three elements that you want to distribute.

    This is a prerequisite to run the command, otherwise a message is issued.

  2. Click Distribute .

  3. Define a reference plane for distribution by placing your cursor over a geometric element that defines the plane (a construction plane or boundary, for example).

    As you move the cursor, a small white rectangle is displayed to show the selectable planes. A line perpendicular to the rectangle shows the direction in which the distribution is performed.



    If you do not see the white rectangle, zoom out from the drawing. The white rectangle cannot be displayed if the element under your cursor is not large enough.

  4. Click to select the plane.

    The selected elements are distributed along the line perpendicular to the plane.

    Note: This command cannot be run in repeat mode.
