Working with the Package Browser

From the Package Browser, you can navigate through libraries and logical behaviors in session.

This task shows you how to:


Access a Logical Behavior/Library

You can directly access a library that is open in session.

  1. Select Library Chooser .

    The Library Chooser panel appears to display the libraries that are loaded in session.

  2. Click a library from the list.

    The Package Browser displays only the selected library.

  3. Select Library Chooser to select another library or to show all libraries.

Re-order the Content

You can sort the libraries/classes in the Package Browser in an alphabetical or in a reverse alphabetical order.

  1. Click Sort .

    Elements are sorted in an alphabetical order.

  2. To sort in a reverse alphabetical order, click again Sort .

    Elements are sorted in a reverse alphabetical order.

  3. To go back to the initial order, click a third time Sort .

    The libraries and/or the classes are sorted in the initial order.

Expand/Collapse Automatically a Package

To easy your navigation, you can expand a package with an auto-collapse mode.

Note: To easy your class move, nodes are automatically expanded when you drag a class.

  1. Click the name of a package.

    Warning: If you click the + symbol of the node to expand your package, it will not auto-collapse.

    The package is expanded.

  2. Click a second package.

    The second package is expanded and the first package is collapsed.

  3. Drag a class, and fly over a package node.

    The node is automatically expanded to let you easily drop your class.

Use the Navigation History

The history of your navigation through classes is kept and can be used for navigation.

Important: By default, these commands are greyed. Fly over with your cursor to activate them.

Expand a package, select a first class ("A"), then a second class ("B").

  1. Click Previous Class to display the class previously visited ("A").

  2. Click Next Class to return to the class previously visited ("B").

  3. Click Parent class to return to the package node.

    The package node is selected and collapsed.

Search a Class

You can search for classes through all logical behaviors/libraries loaded in session.

  1. Click Search .

    You enter the Search mode.

  2. Type your keyword, then click Search Launcher .

    The search result list is displayed.

  3. Click Back to Library View to exit the Search mode.

Contextual Menu

The contextual menu proposes shortcuts to the frequently used commands.

  1. Right-click a class to display the contextual menu.

  2. Select one of the following commands.

    • Center Graph, Reframe on
    • Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste Special
    • Delete
    • Edit
    • Move
    • Open Class in New Window
    • Instantiate
    • Call Function
    • Check
    • New Modelica Class
    • Extend From
    • Attributes
