Changing Maturity

This task explains how to change the maturity of a catalog or chapter.

Important: You must have People and Organization rights on the objects for which you intend to change the maturity.

  1. Select an object in the Catalog tree and then select Edit > Change Maturity (multi-selection is available).

    The Change Maturity dialog box appears.

  2. In the Choose Transition list, select the appropriate transition and click OK.

    The Current Status is changed to the selected state and a message appears at the upper-right corner of the screen indicating that the command completed successfully.

    Note: The Choose Transition list of valid transitions from the current object state. Therefore, the list differs according to the current state. Also, if the promotion is not successful, a warning message is displayed indicating that maturity transition failed. In the case of multi-selected objects, if the transition request for one fails, no transitions are processed.

    Warning: The applied maturity transition is not recursive on Catalog or Chapter content. It is recommended to duplicate a catalog, as versioning of catalog is not possible.

Note: Icons are used in the Change Maturity dialog box that represent the availability of a proposed maturity transition for each selected object:

indicates that the chosen transition can be applied to the object. Double clicking this icon toggles it between Applicable and Not Applied state.

indicates that the chosen transition cannot be applied to the object.

indicates that you've chosen not to apply the transition to the object. Double clicking the icon will change it back to Applicable Transition.

indicates that the object is locked by the current us

indicates that the object is locked by a different user.
