Updating the PLM Relational Design Using the Progressive Assistant

Select Analyze > Update...

• The Scan and Update toolbar appears.

  See Scan and Update Toolbar

• The East Quadrant Compass is activated.

  The Update & Link Status option is displayed.

• In the geometry, the Update & Relation Status is displayed for the active product.

Select Hide/Show the Update structure .

The Update Assistant dialog box appears.

Select Switch memory optimisation on/off.

The memory optimization process is activated. It allows you to reduce the memory usage when data are loaded during the update process.

In the Update Assistant dialog box, select the step from which you want to run the process update.

Select Update selected Step.

Several commands are available:

• Update selected Step: updates the selected step.
• Update next out of date Step: looks for the next out of date step and updates it.
• Update up to selected Step: updates all out of date steps before the selected step and itself.
• Update All: updates all out of date steps.
• Update All parent Steps: updates all out of date steps from the selected one.

The selected step is updated.

Select Exit.

Close the progressive assistant.
