Exiting a Session

You can end your V6 session whenever you want and decide to propagate or not your modifications before exiting the session.

Before you begin: A V6 session must be running.

  1. Select PLM Access > Exit or click the button.

    • If no editor contains any modifications, then all editors are closed and the session is ended.
    • If at least one editor contains modifications that are candidates for a propagation, then the Exit dialog box is displayed.

  2. Optional: If the Exit dialog box is displayed, click:

    • Yes to either propagate, or save locally all modifications before exiting the session by activating the appropriate option.

The activated option is kept in preferences files which means that you retrieve your choice from one session to another.

      Important:
      • If you exit just after running PLM Access > Local Save, the Exit dialog box is displayed for greater safety even though all modifications have already been locally saved.
      • When the Local Save capability is deactivated, the local save option in the Exit dialog box is grayed out because it is not relevant.
    • No to exit the session without propagating changes.
    • Cancel to cancel the exit.

Note: When exiting from a 3DLive session during which objects have been created in Examine mode but not propagated, the Exit dialog box only prompts you to either exit and lose your Examine objects, or to cancel the exit.
