Locking the Current Robot Orientation

You can lock the current Robot orientation so that it cannot be changed, whatever actions you do with it.

  1. Open any product with geometrical data.

  2. Point to the Robot and right-click to display the contextual menu.

  3. Select Lock Current Orientation.

  4. Drag the Robot then drop it onto the object.

    When you drop the Robot onto an object, this orientation is kept.



    Note that as you drag the Robot over objects, its symbol remains oriented the same. For example, if the default orientation was current before dragging, the symbol remains like this while you drag:



    Warning: When Lock current orientation mode is selected, the Robot orientation cannot be changed (either manually or automatically) whatever actions are done with the Robot. In particular, the Robot orientation is kept even if Use Local Axis System is selected.

  5. Right-click then clear Lock Current Orientation.

    The Robot is reoriented.
