Browsing Component Properties

This task shows you how to browse the technological properties of a component.

Before you begin: Open an assembly containing a component.

  1. Right-click a component and select Properties.



  2. In the Properties dialog box, click More...

  3. Select the Circuit Board Design tab.

    In this example, the component is located on the Top face and its status is UNPLACED.



  4. Change the Status to MCAD.

    Note: ECAD status cannot be modified.

    With IDF 3.0 file support, other properties appear:

    • Capacitance
    • Resistance
    • Tolerance
    • etc.

    as well as user-defined attributes (optional).

    These properties can be valuated in this dialog box.

  5. Click OK to validate.
