Rerouting Assembly Symmetry

You can reroute symmetric instances of an assembly symmetry.

Important:

  • Assembly Symmetry is only available with CATIA Mechanical Design licence (MDE).

  • This command only appears in Assembly Symmetry edition context.
  • You can reroute a symmetric product which has lost its original with a new one.

Before you begin: Open an assembly containing assembly missing symmetry instances.

Exiting Assembly Symmetry Workshop

  1. Edit an assembly symmetry in order to access Assembly Symmetry workshop.

  2. Select in the Original viewer a product which has lost its symmetric.

  3. Select in the Symmetric viewer a symmetric product which has lost its original.

    Reroute symmetric instances is enabled.

  4. Click Reroute symmetric instances .

    Symmetry connection has been rerouted.
